Artists in Living Water

The gospel of Mark (4:33) says that “With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand.” Jesus used artistic expression as a means of communicating the truth of God’s love. The young people at Living Water Assembly of God will participate in the Teen Fine Arts Festival in Grand Rapids on March 26th. The youth will be submitting poetry and short stories as well as art work. There will also be a short sermon entry. In April, the children will participate in a similar festival. I enjoy seeing the young people develop their talents for communication in various artistic mediums. As followers of Christ, we strive to make people feel affectionate toward Jesus Christ. Artistic expression is a way for believers to connect people emotionally to Jesus Christ so that they admire His character and long to be in a relationship with Him. Pray for our young people as they develop their artistic gifts and so become skilled communicators of the good news of God’s love.
